Laura Armey, Assistant Professor
Laura Armey, Assistant Professor received a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.A. and M.A. in Economics (2004) and a Ph.D. in Political Economy and Public Policy (2008) from the University of Southern California. Dr. Armey previously worked as an analyst at the Cost Analysis and Program Evaluation division of the Office of the Secretary Defense, where she provided economic analysis of policy. Her research focuses on the political and economic factors that affect civil wars and insurgencies. Most recently she has focused on the economics and politics of post-war reconstruction. In addition, she has worked on analysis of telecommunications markets and the impact of communication technology in developing countries as a Post-Doctoral research fellow for the Institute for Communications Technology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Armey joined the DRMI faculty in August of 2010.
