Jan-Hendrik C. zurLippe, Maj, U.S. Marine Corps
|Jan-Hendrik C. zurLippe, Maj, USMC, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Business Management/Finance from North Carolina State University (2000). He earned his MBA in Financial Management from the Naval Postgraduate School (2013). He is a graduate of the Marine Corps' Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, VA, and a distinguished graduate of the Marine Corps' Command & Staff College. His primary military occupational specialty is Financial Management Officer. Maj zurLippe enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1989, and served as a Combat Engineer in all major commands (Division, Wing and Support Group). His duty stations included VA, NC, Okinawa and a deployment for Operation Desert Storm. As an officer, Maj zurLippe's various operational tours include serving as the Disbursing Officer for MCAS Cherry Point, Advertising Officer for Marine Corps Recruiting Command, and Security Force Platoon Commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom. While assigned to Marine Forces Pacific, Maj zurLippe served in various billets, including Exercise Budget Officer, Ground Budget Officer, Comptroller and Battalion Executive Officer. He has participated in many JCS Exercises, including Cobra Gold, Balikatan, Ulchi Freedom Guardian and Terminal Fury. Maj zurLippe holds the Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) accreditation (2009). His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), and various campaign and unit commendations. Maj zurLippe joined the DRMI faculty in Dec of 2013. |
