The 2026 Spring quarter class includes 405 graduates, earning a total of 414 degrees. This class consists of 207 U.S. Navy; 68 U.S. Marine Corps; 34 U.S. Army; 4 U.S. Air Force; 2 U.S. Coast Guard; 5 U.S. Navy Reserve; 56 civilians; and 29 international graduates representing 18 countries. Of the graduates, 5 earned doctoral degrees, 400 earned master’s degrees, 63 are distance learning students, 25 are Meyer Scholars, and 102 have also completed their Joint Professional Military Education.

In his address, U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. William J. Bowers emphasized the value of the intellectual agility and technical expertise honed through their studies, especially in an era shaped by advancing technologies like AI, autonomous systems, cyber warfare, and many others.
Graduate Profile: Maj. Christopher Teska, USMC
U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Christopher Teska is one of five doctoral graduates celebrated during last week’s 2026 Spring Quarter Commencement ceremony, June 18. Graduating with a Ph.D. in operations research, Teska’s dissertation explored the use of complex mathematics to improve the efficacy of deep learning systems.
Graduate Profile: Lt. Lorzlie Devallon, USN
“Admiral Meyer’s motto was to build a little, test a little, learn a lot,” said U.S. Navy Lt. Lorzlie Devallon, a Spring 2026 graduate in engineering science and recipient of the Surface Navy Association Award for Excellence in Surface Warfare Research. “That's the kind of energy I want to bring to the fleet!”
Graduate Profile: Lt. Evan D. Humphreys, USN
“The focus of my thesis work here at NPS is the development of autonomous behaviors for unmanned surface vessels,” said U.S. Navy Lt. Evan D. Humphreys, recipient of the 2026 Spring Quarter’s Surface Navy Association Award for Excellence in Surface Warfare Research.
