Whether you are the record owner (you entered the record) or if you are a co-author, you can use the "Allow Sharing" toggle to show or hide your intellectual contribution (publication) or presentation to your Faculty Profile. Changing the slider to "Yes" will display the record to your profile. Moving the slider so that "No" is displayed, will hide the record from your profile.

Yes! Please update the scholarly activities included on your profile from RSPO that you own (those that do not have the padlock on the right hand side) with any information that is missing.

We have recently updated the FAIRS application to accept sponsored/funded projects not processed through RSPO on the Institution/Program Sponsored and Unsponsored Research and Scholarly Activity screen. Please include any projects not processed through RSPO on this screen.

FAIRS can accept uploaded publications from any application that can export as a BibTeX file. There are a number of articles on the Internet about how to export from Google Scholar. Here is one of them:

Digital Measures also includes information on how to export from Google Scholar and a few other applications, and then how to import into FAIRS (Activity Insight)

Google also includes this information in their Questions section:

To export all articles from your profile, choose the "Export" option from the Actions menu. To export specific articles, select the desired articles and then choose the "Export" option. You can pick the format for the exported articles using the menu on the export page.

when data was uploaded from our current CV system, a number of items cam in without dates. FAIRS will not be able to decide what report these items belong to, so it will add it to any report you run including that record type. To fix this, visit each of your records and update the date range. We recommend that you include at least the month and the year to help report accuracy.

Quick note on dates: Each screen usually has a required date field. You typically only need to fill in one year field to satisfy this requirement. If a record entered is ongoing, only fill in the start date. If a record enter occurred for a single year, only fill in the end date.

We did our best to clean up the Sponsored Activity data to just one record per project. Many records may appear the same but have different sponsors, abstracts or dates included. But, if you notice that you have an exact duplicate, please contact FAIRSOmbudsman@nps.edu or research@nps.edu to have the records corrected.

We recommend that you update the FAIRS database whenever possible. This way your information will be saved for reuse and querable whenever your department/school needs it.
