About Us
The Center for Modeling Human Behavior (CMHB) is an interdisciplinary research center integrating advances in psychology, social science, computer modeling, and efficient experimental design to develop and leverage complex human behavior models to address modern defense and security challenges.
Current center research covers a range of topics pertaining to complex human behavior of individuals, groups, and crowds as well as security force behavior, use and effects of of intermediate force capabilities, and rules of engagement.
Center faculty researchers come from a variety of disciplines and departments within NPS.
