Academic Programs at DDM

Designed to meet the growing need to manage the business side of national defense. 

As the leading graduate-level business school offering degree programs tailored to the defense community, DDM provides high quality management education to a new generation of military and civilian leadership.

With concentrations in acquisition, program management, contracting, financial management, logistics, manpower and systems analysis, and information technology management, the depth and breadth of faculty defense expertise is unlike any in the country. Through extensive faculty capabilities, and a vast array of delivery modes (resident, video teleconference, web-based learning, traveling faculty and others), DDM is able to tailor any product to the needs of the defense sector.

Students receive the education and skills they need for successful careers within the DoD and civilian leadership. 

Supported by a unique combination of top-notch civilian and military faculty, and by modern and technologically advanced infrastructure such as NPS state-of-the-art library, students are set for their path to success. After graduating from DDM, alumni fill jobs managing the business of defense, setting defense policy, and providing defense sector administration.

As part of NPS, the Graduate School of Defense Management is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). In addition, the Graduate School of Defense Management has the distinction of being one of only a few institutions in the world to have its graduate management programs accredited by both the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the premier accrediting association for schools of business, and the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), the premier accrediting association for schools of public administration.
