IDARM’s focus is to strengthen the managerial competencies of the military and civilian leaders responsible for a nation’s defense acquisition processes via program offerings, both in-residence courses and mobile education teams (METs). IDARM develops and conducts these defense acquisition program offerings to provide both military officers and senior civilian officials those management principles necessary to support the development of a needs-driven acquisition system….
IDARM program offerings are developed and taught by faculty of the Institute for Security Governance (ISG). ISG faculty may be supported by subject matter experts from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and other gradute level institutions. Each program offering is typically tailored to conform to the governmental structure and national acquisition processes in use in the host nation. Announcing the Institute for Security Governance (ISG), established 14 April 2019 by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the Department of Defense’s lead agency for the execution and management of security cooperation programs. The International Defense Acquisition Resource Management (IDARM) Program and the Center for Civil-Military Relations (CCMR), are now realigned under DSCA within ISG, HQ as a tenant activity @ the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. IDARM course offerings and MASLs remain effective and Security Cooperation Offices (SCOs) should continue programming course requirements in the Security Assistance Network (SAN) Web.
