About the summit

What:   Naval AI Summit, Spring 2024
When:  May 14th-16th, 2024
Where: Marine Corps University, Quantico, Virginia

The principal objective of the 2024 Spring Naval AI Summit was to facilitate Navy and Marine Corps cross-communication and the sharing of information, insights, and resources to the benefit of Naval AI practitioners and the overall DoN-wide enterprise. Additionally, this summit’s proximity to the National Capital Region provided an excellent opportunity for engagement for attendance by professionals from across the Navy, USMC, Joint Services, DOD, academia, and industry who have been unable to attend the summits on the west coast.

Special thanks to Marine Corps University's Brute Krulak Center for Innovation and Future Warfare for hosting the Spring Naval AI Summit!

Who attended:

  • AI policy makers
  • Naval and other military Leaders
  • AI Researchers and practioners
  • NPS Students and Alumni
  • Academics and Scholars in related fields
  • Industry partners
Knuckledraggers

AI for Knuckledraggers

AI for Knuckledraggers is a 1-day (7 hour) overview of Artificial Intelligence for non-technical people who do not have a deep understanding of AI.  Dr. Jack Long presented the course on Monday 13 May and, based on feedback, we will continue to offer it as a companion event to the Naval AI Summit.

If anyone is interested in a separate AI for Knuckledraggers delivery, please contact Dr. Long directly at john.g.long.mil@us.navy.mil.

You can download the AI for Knuckledraggers flyer here.
