The title is Raman Spectroscopy of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes With Encapsulated Graphene Nanorib

LT Andrew Pollack, USN

Single-walled carbon nanotubes encapsulating graphene nanoribbons were studied using Raman spectroscopy (frequencies of 514nm, 633nm, 785nm) to determine any changes to the known electric properties of SWCNT’s or the GNR’s. This was done in order to verify the feasibility of these carbon compounds gaining characteristics associated with semiconductors but at electron velocities associated with metallic graphene.
