NSA MONTEREY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

Entry Control Points:

The Sloat gate and Annex gate remain available 24/7.

  • The Visitor Control Center is open - normal hours - Monday-Friday 0700-1130 and 1200-1500 (except closed on Federal Holidays).

  • The three pedestrian turnstiles on the main site / NPS campus are set for inbound and outbound foot traffic.

All three pedestrian turnstiles on NSAM Main Site / NPS Campus are now available for inbound and outbound installation access for personnel whose Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) has been enrolled at the NSA Monterey Visitor Control Center for turnstile access.

Again, the NSA Monterey Visitor Control Center (VCC) is located adjacent to Sloat Gate area and open for customer service Monday-Friday 0700-1130 and 1200-1500 (except closed on Federal Holidays).

In addition to the CAC, an individual must be in possession of a proper PIN code provided when enrolling at the Visitor Center.

Individuals with previously enrolled CACs do not need to be re-enrolled.

Only IDs with a chip can be enrolled for turnstile access; Force Protection Department reached out to NIWC Pacific (Navy Command responsible for pedestrian turnstile implementation on DON installations) to ascertain future non chip ID options.

  • The Annex pedestrian turnstile is operational for enter/exit.

A CAC with a chip that has been enrolled/coded for Annex turnstile access is required for turnstile use.

In addition, a CAC with associated discrete PIN provided at time of enrollment is required to activate the Annex turnstile in either direction.

Individual CACs previously enrolled will work and do not need re-enrollment.

New enrollment/coding is performed by ITC Pinon (cc’d) at Building 31 (Navy Police sub-station) located at the Annex.

He may be reached via email at christian.pinon@nps.edu for an appointment.

Please note that Visitor Control Center by Sloat ECP does NOT conduct enrollment/coding of CACs for the turnstile at the Annex.

Pedestrians are now encouraged by Officers on Post to utilize the turnstile rather than walk in the vehicle lanes of the Annex ECP.
