STEM Collage

STEM @ NPS

As the nation’s premiere national security research university, the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) produces highly qualified graduates in disciplines critical to ensure our country’s security and superiority. Resupplying the pipeline of students who will pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers has become a legitimate concern for the Department of War. NPS students and faculty have a rich history of reaching outside the gates to engage and inspire youth interested in STEM, through local K-12 outreach and internship programs with a national reach. We aim to nurture the next generation of scientists and engineers to fulfill our nation’s promise.

ENGAGE YOUR STUDENTS

NPS hosts middle and high school student groups for on-campus, half- and full-day STEM visits and activities. NPS also has a long history of opening its campus once a year for “Discovery Day”, where hundreds of local K-12 students participate in a full day of activities, demos, discussions with experts, and lab tours.
