Pay Conference Registration

Paying for a conference registration fee

 

Navy policy mandates the use of a government purchase card to pay for conference registration fees.  At present, the only vehicle to allow the use of a government purchase card to pay for a conference registration fee is the SF 182.  As of 1 October 2018, the option for individuals to pay registration fees from personal funds and to seek reimbursement via SF 1164 was eliminated at NPS. 

 

Reimbursement via DTS and/or use of government credit card must be approved on the authorization for "early bird" conference fees in order to be reimbursed.

 

The NPS Human Resources Office has published guidance on their website documenting the proper procedure for routing a SF 182.  Conference approval must be secured before any expenditure of funds, including travel and the registration fee, is authorized.
