Ship mechanical and electrical control systems, and the communications grid through which the components operate, are a high priority concern for Navy leadership. The area of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) addresses machine-machine and human-machine communications for the physical interfaces that control ship operations. This project will develop a research framework and reference architecture for techniques to assess shipboard Industrial Control Systems (JCS) security.
