LCDR Matthew Fore

Command Chaplain

Chaplain Matthew C. Fore hails from Monterey, CA.  After graduation from Pacific Grove High School, he attended Cogswell Polytechnical College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.  He finished his graduate theological education at Westminster Seminary California.  In May 2010, Chaplain Fore was commissioned and then attended Officer Development School and Chaplain School in Newport, RI and Ft. Jackson, SC, respectively.  From 2010 to 2013 Chaplain Fore served as Battalion Chaplain with 3d Battalion 12th Marines in Okinawa, Japan.  His second tour of duty was with CREDO Marine Corps Installations West in Camp Pendleton, CA as the Deputy Director.  From July 2016 to July 2018 Chaplain Fore served as Command Chaplain onboard the USS Lake Erie (CG 70), home ported in San Diego.  From August 2018 to August 2021, served as the Installation Chaplain at Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae in South Korea.  Chaplain Fore reported to NSAM/NPS as Command Chaplain in September 2021.  His personal awards include one Meritorious Service Medal, three Navy Commendation Medals, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.  Chaplain Fore has been married to his wife for 16 years, and together they have two children.

 

RP1(FMF) Anton Arganoza

Command Religious Program Manager

Religious Program Specialist First Class Anton Arganoza hails from Lakewood, Washington. He enjoys experiencing the sights, sounds and tastes of the Monterey Peninsula.  He served with the Chaplain’s Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO) onboard Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, Washington where he supported resiliency retreats for families and couples.  His second tour of duty was onboard Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California where he supported 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines and 1st Tank Battalion in sustainment and deployment training.  He also served with and deployed with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit as it assumed the role of Command Element, SPMAGTF CR-CC 19.1 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.  RP1 Arganoza reported on board Naval Support Activity Monterey as Command Religious Program Manager on October 2020.
