Defense Resource Management Institute - Defense Resources Management Institute
The Defense Resources Management Institute (DRMI) provides integrated professional education programs in resources management and analytical decision making for military officers of all services, and civilian defense officials from the United States and 170 partner nations. Established in 1965 as an educational institution by the Secretary of Defense, the DRMI is located at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. The DRMI's multi-disciplinary faculty conduct graduate-level executive education courses in Monterey and tailored courses and seminars at other locations in the U.S. and abroad upon request.

52nd Senior International Defense Management Course Featured in New Video
Defense Financial Management Webinar Series
The DRMI is presenting a defense financial management webinar series for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) fmVisionExchange Program (formerly "Financial Management Brown Bag Training Program"), for DoD personnel who are Defense Financial Management Certification Program (DFMCP) certified and those seeking DFMCP certification. Each month, a one-hour webinar is presented by a DRMI faculty member and confers one CET credit. The webinars are presented "live" in Zoom for Government Webinar from 1200-1300 Eastern. Risk Management Course
The DRMI welcomes 21 participants representing nine partner nations (Argentina, Ghana, Jordan, North Macedonia, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, South Africa, and Uruguay) and the United States to the two-week resident Risk Management Course. Additionally, 11 participants representing one partner nation (Uruguay) and the United States are taking the course virtually via distance learning. This course will graduate on 19 November 2021.
Multiple Criteria Decision Making Course
The DRMI welcomes 16 participants representing nine partner nations (Argentina, Chile, Ghana, Italy, Jordan, Mexico, North Macedonia, Pakistan, and South Africa) and the United States to the two-week resident MCDM course. Additionally, seven participants representing three partner nations (Ecuador, Latvia, and Uruguay) and the United States are taking the course virtually via distance learning. This course will graduate on 4 November 2021.
International Defense Management Course (IDMC 22-1) Begins
The DRMI welcomes 32 participants representing 25 partner nations (Argentina, Azerbaijan, Belize, Benin, Egypt, Eswatini, Ghana, Indonesia, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Lesotho, Lithuania, Namibia, North Macedonia, Pakistan, Senegal, Seychelles, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Togo, Ukraine, and Uruguay) to the IDMC 22-1. This 10-week course began on 12 October and will graduate on 16 December 2021.

Masks are optional, but not required, indoors or outdoors, if fully vaccinated
Physical distancing is encouraged, but not required, if fully vaccinated
International arrivals are not required to ROM/quarantine, if fully vaccinated
Allowance for vaccinations other than FDA-authorized: any COVID-19 vaccine authorized by a partner nation
COVID-19 testing still required for international air travel, regardless of vaccination status
Defense Resources Management Course (DRMC 21-4)
The fourth convening of the DRMC in 2021 began on 29 August with 29 participants from 13 partner nations (Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Jordan, Madagascar, Namibia, Norway, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, and Zambia) and the United States. This four-week course will graduate on 24 September.
52nd Senior International Defense Management Course (SIDMC 21)
The 52nd annual Senior International Defense Management Course began on 2 August with 38 flag and general rank military officers and senior defense officials from 24 partner nations (Albania, Bangladesh, Benin, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Eswatini, Germany, Ghana, Jordan, Korea, Latvia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Moldova, Niger, North Macedonia, Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and Ukraine) and the United States. This four-week course will graduate on 27 August.
Defense Resources Management Course (DRMC 21-3)
The third convening of the DRMC in 2021 began on 13 June with 18 participants from 5 partner nations (Jordan, Liberia, Malaysia, Oman, and Ukraine) and the United States. This four-week course will graduate on 9 July.
Defense Resources Management Course (DRMC 21-2)
The second convening of the DRMC in 2021 began on 17 May with 16 participants from 6 partner nations (Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, and the Philippines) and the United States. This four-week course will conclude on 11 June.
Defense Resources Management Course (DRMC 21-1)
The first convening of the four-week DRMC in 2021 began on 19 April with 11 participants from 6 partner nations (Djibouti, Germany, Hungary, Pakistan, Senegal, and Trinidad-Tobago) and the United States. The course participants graduated on 14 May.
International Defense Management Course (IDMC 21-2)
The ten-week IDMC 21-2 convened on 8 February 2021 with 18 participants representing 10 partner nations: Albania, Bangladesh, Benin, Bulgaria, Korea, Moldova, Morocco, Senegal, Togo, and Tunisia. The course concluded on 15 April 2021 with a socially-distanced outdoor graduation.
All Courses Now Offered Both in Residence and Online (Virtually)
Due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, the DRMI is now offering all courses both in residence in Monterey and online (virtually) via distance learning platforms. Online/distance learning course offerings are currently scheduled through FY 2022.
DRMI Pivots to New "Blended Learning" Environment
The DRMI resumed resident course instruction in August 2020 under a new “blended learning” environment, combining video conferencing and in-person classroom interaction in strict compliance with health and safety requirements.
