DRESS CODE: Military: Service Khaki, Service “C”, or equivalent. Civilian: Business Casual CLIMATE: The Monterey Peninsula’s year-round climate has temperatures ranging from 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit (10 to 20 degrees Celsius) during the daytime, and from 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit cooler at night. TRANSPORTATION: Attendees are responsible for their own transportation. Government transportation between area airports and the NPS campus is not available. Please note that the only taxi service allowed on base at NPS is the Yellow Cab Company (Tel: +1 831-646-1234). GATE ACCESS TO NPS: Please use the gate located at 10th Street and Sloat Avenue to expedite base access. This gate is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is accessible by anyone with a DOD Identification Card. If you do not have a DOD Identification Card and need gate access, please contact the Naval Research Program Office at nrp@nps.edu. LODGING: Lodging for the Monterey Bay Area is in high demand. Payment for rooms is the responsibility of the individual. Please check the per diem rate for lodging in Monterey County, California.
