Student Support
There are several opportunities designed for NPS students through CRUSER – all schools, all services, all curriculums!
- ROBOTICS ENGINEERING GRADUATE CERTIFICATE: Earn a graduate certificate in Robotics Engineering. Click here to find out more about the program.
- TRAVEL SUPPORT: CRUSER will support NPS student travel related to course or thesis work if it touches robotics or autonomy at any point along the process. Do you need to do some field experimentation? Do you need to make a site visit to a project sponsor? Do you need to interview stakeholders? Do you need to attend a workshop or symposium or conference? See below to apply for CRUSER travel support.
- THESIS IDEAS: Are you looking for a relevant thesis topic, or do you have an idea for a thesis and need to find an advisor? If it relates to robotics or autonomy, CRUSER can help you find the folks on campus to talk to! Email cruser@nps.edu to get started.
- CONCEPT GENERATION WORKSHOP: During Thesis & Research Week each September – the week between finals and graduation so you do not have classes – CRUSER sponsors the annual Warfare Innovation Continuum (WIC) Workshop, and if you have three and a half days to spend with us we will always add NPS students to concept generation teams!
- FIELD EXPERIMENTATION: CRUSER is closely associated with the Joint Interagency Field Experimentation (JIFX) program that hosts quarterly field experimentation opportunities, usually at Camp Roberts – only a two hour drive South. Click above to learn more about JIFX and the next opportunity to participate in field experimentation.
- MONTHLY MEETINGS: CRUSER hosts monthly meetings at noon on the first Monday of each month in the ME Auditorium. Bring your lunch and sit in to learn more about the robotics and autonomy related research and activities going on around campus and throughout the wider community of interest.
- CRUSER TEAM STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE: CRUSER enlists one or two students to join us on our leadership team to keep us connected to the needs of the NPS student body. Email cruser_cg@nps.edu if you'd like to be involved at this level!
