Overview
Jenna Hillhouse has served as a librarian at the Dudley Knox Library since 2023, where she provides research support and information literacy instruction to students and faculty. She collaborates with faculty to integrate research instruction into the curriculum and helps students develop effective research strategies, navigate complex information environments, and critically evaluate information sources.
Jenna is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Sciences at the Naval Postgraduate School. Her research examines information search practices in organizational decision-making, with a particular focus on how decision makers seek, evaluate, interpret, and use information across repeated decision cycles. Her work draws on information behavior, organizational routines, and process research to better understand how information search practices become patterned, stabilized, and reproduced over time in high-stakes organizational settings.
She holds a Master of Library and Information Science from San José State University, a Master of Arts in English from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Fresno. Before joining the Dudley Knox Library, Jenna served as a librarian with the Homeland Security Digital Library.
