Complementary Co-Located programs are research efforts that include NPS stakeholders, sponsors and communities of interest. These co-located entities are essential to the value proposition of NPS as they contribute to mutual learning and applied research solutions.

The Naval Postgraduate School has several unique research facilities. These facilities have been developed to provide faculty and students with a dynamic research environment to work on problems of special interest to the Department of the Navy/Department of Defense. Classified facilities at NPS allow research up to the Secret Compartmented Information (SCI) level.

Office of Warfare Studies
The Office of Warfare Studies (OWS) serves as a front door for the Fleet and US Marine Corps to working with NPS. It was established in 2020 to coordinate NPS interdisciplinary research and educational response to Naval warfighting needs. Enabling teamwork and collaboration with the NPS ecosystem, OWS informs, coordinates, integrates, advocates and communicates in support of USN N7 and USMC CD&I requirements. For more see the Office of Warfare Studies.
