Graduated University of Michigan with a BS NA&ME. Earned an MSME and subsequently a Ph.D. through the NPS MAE Department. Served in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer and Engineering Duty Officer prior to transitioning to the Navy Reserve. NAVSEA Professor of Total Ship Systems Engineering (TSSE) and Director of the TSSE Program.
