 | The Cebrowski institute serves as the hub for several Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs. These target under-represented groups and provide support and opportunities that lead to inspiring and growing the national science-technology workforce.
Community College Catalyst (3C)
Working with the award winning Hartnell NASA-CIPA and NSF sponsored programs at Hartnell Community College, the Cebrowski Institute coordinates a robust summer student intern program, matching undergraduate students who excel in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) disciplines with NPS research faculty. NPS provides graduate research assistant opportunities for students, providing a “kick-start” when the students transfer to a 4-year university.
Cyber Adventurers
Blending what we have learned on two previous NSF projects (Rebooting Computing and Field Guide to Computing) with our Community College Catalyst, we have created an exciting new program called "Cyber Adventurers, which introduces middle school and high school students to the "Magic and Beauty of Computing."
PhDs + Polka Dots
The Cebrowski Institute developed and facilitates a 3-part series of summer gatherings designed to bring together civilian undergraduates, working cross the NPS campus as summer hires, who are interested in learning more about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) disciplines. With opportunities to meet female PhDs doing exciting work at NPS, the goal of the meetings is to expose the next generation of researchers to resources, expertise and possible mentors.
SEAP
The Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) provides an opportunity for high school students to participate in research at the Naval Postgraduate School during the summer.

U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen
The United States Naval Academy promotes and maintains an environment in which research and scholarly activities contribute to the educational growth of midshipmen. Midshipmen engage in learning the basic tenets of research in many of their programs including independent research courses, honors courses, design projects. |
