Graduates from the Defense Resource Management Institute’s (DRMI) 47th Senior International Defense Management Course (SIDMC), with associated staff and faculty, gather for a photo outside Herrmann Hall, Aug. 25. More than 30 high-ranking military officers and civilians were counted among the course’s graduates.
“This world class graduate faculty allowed all of us to develop our experience in defense management,” said Lebanese Republic Brig. Gen. Haroutioun S. Guekguezian. “Allow me to express my gratitude and extreme appreciation for having been granted the opportunity to participate in the 47th Senior International Defense Course at NPS.”
SIDMC is designed for senior flag and general officers, and their civilian counterparts, involved in the strategic planning and effective allocation of scarce defense resources in today's complex and uncertain security environment.
“We were provided a dynamic learning environment designed to develop both strategy and analytical decision making skills, which is necessary in today’s environment,” said Guekguezian. “This program encourages inter-cultural communication and creates an enduring relationship of trust between DRMI participants and faculty.”
DRMI faculty hope that through courses like the SIDMC that international relationships will be fostered leading to greater international and interagency cooperation in the future.
